Kick off the beginning of the North Carolina Science Festival with a Star Party. Join the Cape Fear Astronomy Society for a free public star gazing session. Meet at the park visitor center at 7:30 p.m. to learn about and to view the night sky. Telescopes will be set up for viewing opportunities. Program will end around 9:45 p.m. In case of rain or cloudy skies, there will be an opportunity to view the night sky inside the visitor centerÕs auditorium.
