The Winterfest is an outdoor festival organized by the Jacksonville Recreation and Parks Department; Riverwalk Park is decorated with lights, holiday decorations and a live Christmas tree. Activities during the day include real snow with sledding, ice sculpture demonstrations, live petting zoo, pony rides, pictures with Santa Claus, games, music, crafts, Christmas tree lighting ceremony, and Holiday Flotilla by the Jacksonville Breakfast Rotary Club.
