The Lights of the Great Armada: The 147th Anniversary of the Battle of Fort Fisher

A Navy and Marine Living History event (Union and Confederate) commemorating the 147th anniversary of the 2nd Battle of Fort Fisher. The program will feature small arms and artillery demonstrations and torpedo and steam engine exhibits. Special guests making presentations include Dr. Robert M. Browning, Jr, Chief Historian, USCG; Dr. Mark Wilde-Ramsing, Deputy State Archaeologist, NC Office of State Archaeology; Mr. Larry Bopp and Mr. Steve Bockmiller, USMC Historical Company and Ship's Company. The program is free, donations are appreciated. 10 a.m. - 4 p.m Saturday, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sunday.
