'Dracula'

Southport/Oak Island Friends of the Library Literature and Film series is scheduled for Monday, March 19. The program is entitled Bram Stoker, Bela Lugosi, and Dracula: From Transylvania to Hollywood. After a review of Stoker’s 1897 novel Dracula, how it translates into the 1931 film version in which Lugosi’s performance became the definitive screen portrayal of the famous vampire will be discussed. Registration begins at Barbee Library on Monday, March 5 at 9 AM. Enrollment is limited to 25.
