Flytrap Frolic

Free family environmental education event with a focus on carnivorous plants and conservation. Special activities include walking tours of the Stanley Rehder Carnivorous Plant Garden behind Alderman Elementary School; “flytrap” kids’ craft; live snakes from Halyburton Park; geo-caching plant scavenger hunt; presentations by include Richard Leblond, retired biologist, and Dr. Phil Garwood ("Dr. Rocks"), the geology instructor at Cape Fear Community College.
