Thank you Tom, Dureen, and son Stephen, for
welcoming the new Wilmington Rugby Football
Club to your pub on Thursday nights after practice!
We like the prices and atmosphere and would like
also to thank your staff for the excellent service!

I have been to almost all of the bars in wilmington and surrounding areas...Hands down, one of the best bars is The Dubliner!!! It is a great authentic Irish Pub, with a welcoming atmosphere and even better pint!! Matter of fact, the BEST Pint of Guinnes you will have in N.C. Great Live Irish Music on Friday Nights, and a comfortable beer garden to enjoy Wilmingtons wonderful night time weather!!!! Give it a try, I gaurantee you will enjoy this bar and feel more than welcome!!

The dubliner is a great place to go if you just want to kick back and have a couple of beers. The bartenders are friendly and you will always feel welcome there. The owners are, more often than not,on site and are authentic Irish. They are usually the first to welcome you. The Guinness is the best in town,in fact,as Tom will tell you if asked, the reason he opened the place was to get a decnt pint of Guinness. This is because no other bar in town serves it the correct way.
On Friday nights there is traditional Irish music as played by Tom and his band, The Molly Malones. The music starts at around 9:00 or 9:30 and goes until close to closing.
The atmosphere is wonderful. The whole place was remodeled last year to Tom's specifications and there are many articles to give the feel of a real Irish pub atmosphere.
The weekdays are very laid back which makes The Dubliner the perfect place to wind down after a hard days work with a good pint.
The only negative to the bar is on busy nights. If you don't like smoke, you may have a problem.
The ventilation sytem is not the best in this area and the smoke can get intense for those who are sensitive to it. The small, intimate surroundings can concentrate the smoke and it can get quite stuffy at times. So if you are affected by smoke, my advice would be to go on one of the less busy nights or go in the daytime when the place is not as busy.
Having said that, The Dubliner is a pleasure to visit. With a great atmoshpere and a wonderful, friendly staff and, for the most part, a good and friendly lot of customers.
